Colorado High School News: Ed McCaffrey to become HC at Valor

It’s a formula that works: hire a media guy who once played WR for the Broncos who has zero coaching experience. Then wait for the championships to start rolling in.

****. Can't see any way that's good for CU.
From what I can tell, McCaffrey does like HCMM quite a bit. I trust that he won't steer kids away and will support them if CU is where they want to go despite his strong bias toward schools that have certain academic reputation (even if they're not actually better schools).

For the life of me, I don't understand why Ed would want to do this, except to block someone he doesn't want? His kid Luke will be a SR.

If I"m Ed, and I'm assuming Ed isn't doing this for the money. I spend my weekends traveling to watch football. This is the LAST job I want if I'm Ed.

Fri night - Valor game.
Sat morning, flight to wherever Michigan is playing.
Sun morning, flight to wherever Christian is playing.
Back on Monday. Rinse and repeat.

Luke is hearing from Michigan, Ohio State, chip Kelly, etc. will be interesting to see how/where Ed showcases him this season

Logan was/is successful because he’s a hometown guy. He’s been a Denver sports icon for 50 years. Ed McCaffery? Not so much. It will be interesting to see how well his name recognition gets kids to Valor.

Kind of like when he was banned from coming to AYL Baseball games because he was an out of control hot head. And this was as a parent and not a coach

Yeah that would be why and also why he was not allowed on the Valor sideline.

I've heard this before as well. Was supposedly way out of control and expected people to give him what he wanted just because of who he was.
This revelation makes me sad. I mean, he’s the “Good Feet” guy. He has his own mustard. How could he possibly be assholeish.

I should be clear that this was what I was told by a family member. If people think Logan is bad, wait till Ed is out there.

It’s easier being part of the action than having no control. Although I’ve broken my share of golf clubs.

I don't know; actions speak louder than words and none of the McCaffrey kids seriously considered CU. why would he advise his players any differently?
