In other news, the ACC took more hits. Virginia lost to Delaware and Miami got crushed by Florida Gulf Coast. Is FGCU even D1?

Yep, ACC is big time down this year. This was supposed to be one of Miami's best teams in years and many thought they'd be competing for a berth in the Big Dance. Florida Gulf Coast IS D1, but this is their first or second year. They're in the Atlantic Sun.

Also, Virginia lost to Delaware.

Related to CU: Texas Southern, who we play on the 27th (and seemingly every year), lost 81-63 at Boise State the other night, and is currently losing 43-14 at Northwestern. Buffs should coast in this one.

Congrats to Wichita State and our buddy shocker on a nice win at VCU today.

Weird schedule for them. Maybe it's because a lot of major programs don't want to touch them and it presents difficulties, but that doesn't look like an OOC schedule that's going to do Wichita State any favors if things don't go as planned in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament: http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/team/_/id/2724/wichita-state-shockers

On the flipside, it will be interesting to see how VCU does in their first year in the A-10. Colonial Athletic is a decent little conference, but playing Temple, Xavier and Butler is a little different than playing William & Mary, Towson and Northeastern.

Washington losing to Albany at half, 31-27.

USC in a close one with Long Beach State, 29-24 Trojans lead.

Cal up 10 on Pepperdine, 36-26.

Swell.....nice diversion with no football to talk about. Almost as exciting as a soccer discussion...Albany, Long Beach St? Yippee.

fugly game in Seattle though UW is picking it up.

Suggs went down right away with a concussion. Simmons then went out due to bleeding from a cut and finally came back to end the half. Ugly, ugly game. Can't hit a barn right now.

Albany was shooting 36% and had a lead?:wow:

Hopefully Suggs is back for the weekend tourney. UW will be hurting without him.

Washington trailing 60-61 with 27 seconds left.

USC pulled away from Long Beach State earlier.

Honestly not surprised. We knew one of these head scratching losses was bound to hit the Pac sooner rather than later. Huskies are really shaky, that's for sure. They've got Seton Hall (and Ohio State if they win that), Colorado State and Saint Louis upcoming on the schedule. Going to be a rough start for them. Seton Hall is among the worst in the Big East, but if you can't beat a team that won't challenge to win the America East at home, then you can't take Seton Hall for granted. Obviously Ohio State would throttle them. Should be interesting to see how they do against CSU. Saint Louis is supposed to be really solid this year as well.

UCLA is going to give us problems... I am glad that we are fortunate enough to have some time before we play them.

UCLA is going to give everyone problems. They can beat anyone in the nation. What we need to find out is if they're also the UCLA of late that can also lose to anyone in the nation.

The announcers kept mentioning it and it appeared to be true. UCLA is much more uptempo. A few games of stats should indicate if they are truly devoted to that style.

Cant wait to see them try and run up here. Especially someone like Smith.

Based on my reading of the schedule, we'll get them on the second leg of their trip after they've played Utah. This could end up playing to our advantage and slow them down a little.

I hope the Runnin Utes can get back to their historical roots this season and run with some folks this year. Will help us tremendously with those 2nd legs
