Colorado vs. Oklahoma State—Nov 29— 10:00 AM—ABC

What's more likely?

KSU over ISU and UA over ASU

or

Houston over BYU and TTU over WVU

I think the first one is more likely, tbh. Would have been nice is Utah pulled off the ISU upset on Saturday

Farmageddon and the Territorial Cup being rivalry games help. You can turn games that look to be one-sided and make them toss-ups.

Otoh, I can see TTU beating WVU, and BYU is definitely stumbling. Needed a miracle to beat UU, lost to KU, lost to ASU. At the same time, Houston is by far the weakest team they've played in a month.

UA at home in a rivalry could make it a closer game than one might think.
If KSU actually comes to play, I expect them to beat ISU (it's a damn shame Utah couldn't just take care of ISU last week and remove them from the equation altogether). The ****ty part is that UA has nothing to play for other than bragging rights. I guess we just have to hope that it's one of those weeks where TMac goes for 12/250/3 and ASU just can't counter.

Here's my super analytical approach. As a child of someone who went to CU in the early 70's, I was exposed early on to the concept of bio-rhythms. ASU's been on a "triple-high" for several weeks; science dictates that they're due for a "triple-low." Ergo, ASU will lose.

I hope the Buffs are more excited about the game than the fans here.
Me too. But unfortunately, if they weren’t against Kansas, I don’t see it any better this week. Last week should have been the most jacked this team has been all year.

Now do a team that’s been in free fall for weeks now - BYU.

It is just not easy to win on the road, especially getting every team's best shot. Sometimes you just get beat.
Don’t disagree. But there was a difference in getting beat, and the lack of “energy” this team had last week…especially with what was at stake. (I was merely responding the the “excitement” comment).

Oregon had "lack of energy" when they played against Wisconsin. PSU had "lack of energe" when they played against Minny.

It happens to every single team. The solution? Build your team to be much better than others.

Who won those games?
If you’ve got the talent to “lack engergy” and still lose zero, or one, games a year, then have at it. We’re not that team.
But you all can carry on.

The whole point is no team is able to be "up" for all 12 games a season.
Fine if you want to argue that (and there were plenty of other times this team hasn’t been up…it’s been far from “up for 12 games”). But there’s also certain points in a season where a game matters more. This past one should have been one.
The “shoulder shrug” mentality kinda grosses me out. But I’m done having this conversation

But it is also hard to bring a high energy level every week. Sometimes those "off" weeks come at the worst times.
It should really highlight how ridiculous the Saban run at Bama was. They got everyone’s best shot every week and only had two seasons with more than 2 losses during his tenure.

CU with Prime is going to be circled on everyone’s schedule every season, and it’s going to take special coaching and accumulating enough talent and depth to have the consistent high level success.

On that note, I regularly say to people that as good as they might think those programs are which average 10 wins a year - they're better.
