Colorado's 2013 NFL draft Class: David Bakhtiari & Nick Kasa

Production in College doesn't always translate into a successful player in the NFL.

It will not shock me if Polk, Rippy and Pericak make NFL rosters. They are good players, they were just unfortunate to play on bad teams.

this is from the SJ-Merc, and is unreal:

Loser: Ohio State. The Buckeyes had the No. 1 recruiting class in 2009 and the No. 4 class in ’08. Those prospects were fourth- and fifth-year players in ’12 and should have formed the core of a respectable draft class. Instead, tOSU had two players selected — only one in the first six rounds

two top 5 classes recruiting classes and we had a better draft class.

You can be a great college player and a college team can be great without NFL players on your roster. Two different leagues completely. Tons of players are great in college and not do sh** in the NFL. Some great NFL player didn't do sh** in college. Players are asked to do different things and athletes bloom at different ages.

True to an extent but in the end the best college teams usually have a lot of guys who are talented enough to succeed on both levels. Just look at the last few national champions and the number of players they have drafted in the early rounds.

At the same time there are a few teams that have a lot of players drafted that seem to constantly underperform but I would put much of that on coaching: I.E. Texas, USC, etc.
