I root against anyone who is a direct competitor to my teams, so **** the Pac12, the National League, the AFC, Western NHL Conference, the entire EPL, and as much as it pains me right now the IU Hoosiers.

Don't usually have it. In fact I often actively pull against conference rivals, but I wanted Cal to represent the Pac well tonight. It's embarrassing, we've got to do our thing and make some noise. Want the Pac to do well in the NIT as well. As I've said, we need any and all OOC help we can get.

I think you mostly start neutral and then things go downhill from there. In the old Big 12 I always disliked Nebraska (obviously) and KSU in football and KU in BB. KSU because of some cr@p that BS pulled when he was HC and KU because of their fans (their fans were equally obnoxious in football but only when they were successful which was not often). Other than that I usually cheered for the Big 12 teams (somewhat ambivalent with Texas but I did not hate them.
Our history with the PAC12 is not long enough to develop much in the way of any real passion - although my little exposure to fans from Arizona and ASU has potential to put them in the my hate group. Washington fans were pretty obnoxious when the Neuheisel thing was going on...they had similar arrogance to Nebraska fans, but they have been humbled recently. When I was young USC was one of the first teams I ever cheered for...back them there was only one or two football games on a week and usually it was a Big 10 team and/or Notre Dame(who I really hated because all my friends loved them) or a Pac 8 team - Usually USC. So I will never despise USC (although I now cheer for the Buffs when they play USC).
We will see how things go with the PAC 12 on the allegiance thing - I will never cheer for UCLA in basketball.
