Even though the lions are pathetic, that is so awesome! Congrats big guy!
That's funny because if he actually was a big guy he would have been drafted first round. Congrats Jordon!! You were a great Buff, good luck as a pro!
Haha thats true. Its his heart that makes him a big guy in my book.
he went before the Butkus runner up.
as a buffs fan, i am so happy he got selected mid-second round!
as a lions fan, i am saddened that jordan has to go there and play with the worst nfl franchise in the freaking league. evar.
on a sidenote, the lions have at one point (i'm not sure who's still there) drafted brian calhoun, signed joel klatt, and now taken dizon. looks like they've got a pipeline goin from boulder to detroit.

I was really hoping any team but the lions or raiders would get him. At least we get to watch him start on thanksgiving!
I think Jeff "Soupy" Campbell played there too.
I think Matt Russel played there too and blew out his knee (twice - :sad1![]()

I was thinking the same thing. The last time we had a LB get drafted by the Lions, he never played a regular season game. Matt Russell would have been a monster in the NFL, too. I really believe that.
Didn't Matt Russell also go to Detriot?
I watched some of the draft but missed both the JD and TWheat selections (live). Can anyone give me a synopsis of what the espn talking heads said about these two Buffs?
I've been looking at some of the draft analysis, and one in particular stood out. Tony Pauline of TFYDraft.com, on CNNSI's website called TWheat a "reach" because he was constantly beaten last year. Here's the link talking jerk,
I suppose you don't have to watch football to get published. :wow:

Consistently beaten? That's one of the most absurd comments I've ever heard. Week in and week out, he was put on the opposing team's best receiver. He held Crabtree to one of his lowest outputs of the year. This guy is sofa king we todd id.

Seriously, the as big of bastards as they are, the Pats have consistently had some of the better drafts over the last 6 or 7 years.
Bellacheat will have TWheat into a very good corner during his stay.
He had 3 picks while covering Crabtree that day. TWheat is going to be a solid NFL corner, IMO.
