Congrats Buff fans, great victory. I didnt get to see the game, or any games for that matter. Looks like it was a hell of a win, and a great day overall for the North.
Thanks lammie.
Sorry about the lammies :sad1:
Tis a sad state of affairs in the Fort. I had excellent seats to the Avs game last night, was a pretty good game for a preseason. Plus I didnt have to be pained with another CSU L.SDSU next week at home, thats winnable, I think
CSU gets their first win next week

Sonny is close to retirement age. There are a lot of good young HCs around the country. I liked the guy and he did a lot of first. He seems to be sliping a la Joe Pa. Whatever anyone says he made CSU much better and he made the series with us much more interesting.
I live in the Fort and see Sonny on almost a daily basis at a local health club. The guy is a rock. You just gotta love the guy when you see him. He has done a ton for the program and the university.Dont get me wrong, what Sonny did at CSU has been awesome. But I do think we are getting close to time for him to retire and hopefully get a new, young staff with alot of energy to rekindle some of the excitement up there.

It will be tough to get a young staff to come in and STAY. They don't have the big bucks to throw at a good young coach, the program does not have the big conference appeal. Sonny seemed OK with all this at the stage of his career that he was. A better strategy for the Rams might be to get an older good coach with energy.
Just my 2 cents worth...
I agree. I guess you can go with a revolving door (list) of young coaches too...Look at Boise State though. They have had a string of coaches. If your in that situation you have to have a good AD who always has a list in his pocket.

..the main point is you're not going to get a good young coach and staff (urban meyer) to set up camp for the long haul in the MWC... its a stepping stone to the big boys.
I agree my man... they need a changing of the guard... and again, I like SonnyYou guys are exactly right. If CSU gets a good young coach, he will use it as a stepping stone to a better gig. Thats just the way it is, but its not necessarily bad. At this point I just think the program needs some new blood. The losing streak has really taken a toll on the team and I think its a case of they dont know how to win right now.

I bet you guys could get Joe Glenn away from Wyoming. His DC Mike Breske is pretty good and pretty young.
I know you guys hate Huskerpedia but they are sending some love your way.

NU is in the exact same class as CU and KSU in the overall college football landscape.
Uh....some love? In typical Husker fashion they are being condescending and saying how CU and KSU are teams that the "big dogs" overlook where as NU is a team that everyone gets up for and NU gets their best shot. Talk about an inflated opinion of ones self. NU is in the exact same class as CU and KSU in the overall college football landscape.

And CU's defense is a hell of a lot better than NU's.
I guess I focused on the positive comments regarding CU and KSU's wins and how it made the north look better. You obviously focused on just the negative comments.
Even the "positive" comments were back handed though.
True, but NU's offense is better than CUs. Right now I gotta rate CU a bit ahead of NU, with their win this weekend. But there is a lot of football to be played before this one gets hashed out on the field.
