CSU Celebrations

CSU Players weren't the only ones celebrating like that. CSU fans seemed pretty happy every time they gave up a first down just because they got a tackle at the end of the play too.

acting like you've been there before, celebrating as a team and not an individual, and creating opportunities (Wood, Uzo-Direbe-sp) are all external examples of an internal culture shift. it will be interesting to see how it grows.

Huge point,

The Buffs acted like they expected to do well, they acted like they were a part of something bigger.

We have only taken the first step towards respectability and beating a team like CSU is a baby step but we are moving the right direction. So far it looks like M2 knows how to lead a college football team and the kids are following him.

Celebration has its place. The best place for it is while you are singing the fight song as a team after a win. Then it means something.

Their coach brought this on. He told them that they were the better team and they were going to kick our asses.

I'm calling it the 'porter factor'. Joey Porter now on the sidelines. That's the kind of horse crap he (and van pelt) were known for. Now they're bringing it to a new generation of boneheads.

If Porter is allowed to roam the sidelines like yesterday he'll eventually get a penalty. What's his official title, volunteer assistant? He needs to slow his roll

Porter is just a ****ty person. He was on the Dolphins for awhile and even when he'd play well you still cringed having him on your team.

According to rn before the game, having Porter on the sideline was going to make a "huge" difference

This is a guy who spent over a decade in the NFL and still ended up going to jail for 3 days for writing bad checks (to a casino) and losing his house to foreclosure. He was always on the edge of losing control in the NFL and at CSU. When Sonny came from Miami he brought along a tolerance for and even preference for kids who were borderline as long as they brought that agression to the field.

On a side note, while we are talking csu celebrations I'm throwing cheers into the fold. They totally yanked like three or four cheers from CU. I know cheers can be pretty universal with minor tweaks to them. But they stole the Hey!!... Go Buffs x3 and if you say the PC way or uncensored second part. And some other songs, I bet they are currently trying to steal the fight song too.

imitation is the highest form of flattery.

Yeah, his go to move was the Dikembe finger wag for every incomplete pass...then his man went for over 200 yards with 2 TDs.

Looks pretty dumb when you lose.

They were right.... he made a huge difference by showing his players how to trash talk every play.

Well he did manage to hold PRich under 300 yards receiving, so he's probably feeling pretty good today.

And he didn't look bad on TV chasing PRich into the endzone, he was to far behind to be in the picture.
