CU defense making big plays and CU’s QB balling out is the only reason CU is 2-0. Meanwhile, CSU loses by 26 at home in week one and is just ripe to upset CU in Folsom because they had a Bye week to fix it all. Got it.

Good thing CU is so much more talented that emotions won’t play a role in the outcome

We should expect a letdown, no team can stay at peak emotion for every game of the season.
It also shouldn't matter. CSU has historically come up with some quality players including some who have ended up in the league.
If they have those this year they haven't shown themselves yet. At virtually every position on the field our backups should be more talented than their starters.
Eventually, no matter how good your game plan it football comes down to blocking and tackling, hitting and running. The simply do not have the physical talent to stay with us for more than a relatively short time.
It wouldn't be a surprise if the game is fairly even for the first couple drives maybe into the second quarter. Eventually though their emotional high will wear down, they will make some mistakes, a turnover, a missed tackle, a dropped ball, and the rout will be on.
Oh this 100%. We are ****in doomed.

We're going to need that if we want to have coin flip type chances at Oregon and vs USC the 2 weeks that follow. Both of those defenses struggle if the offense they're facing isn't one dimensional.

My guess is that Sanders takes a more business-like approach this week and plays down the emotion driven messages of the 1st 2 weeks.
In general I agree. But I think we are legit trying to get a Heisman.
It seemed more like mistakes and miscues from the others teams.

CSU will be hyped up and trying their best which likely means gang tackles, swarms and hard hits possibly right after a whistle. Just need the guys to get through without an injury and hopefully play a lot of backups to rest starters and build depth

This is the week to work on getting the running game healthy. If you watch the OL, we are really really close....let's get it right this week (which might call for some sloppiness early in the game). If we cannot, and need to revert back to throwing the ball in order to control the game, then we should be worried about how good we can actually be.
Still need to get Shedeur (and hopefully Travis) his numbers, though. Sounds dumb, but keeping SS and TH squarely in the Heisman conversation is going to be key to recruiting a top 10 class, IMO
What have you seen indicating that the OL is close?
I believe the OL as a unit will continue to gel as the season continues. Will the running game simply improve with experience playing together? Will getting McCaskill back help?
Hopefully Wells is good to go.
I also think we have played two very good D lines. The D tackle from TCU, Damonic Williams, is a damn good player.
He'll get his numbers if we're running the ball with bigger shots down field and a looser secondary. Against knu we had 454 yds (58r/396p). SS had 393 on 31/42. I'd hope to see us run the ball for 150+ yds in the first 3 qtrs (before SS is sat down), and have #2 be ~25/30 for 350+yds and 3+ TD's. In 3 qtrs against worse competition, that isn't going to hurt his chances.
