CSU had a nice win against an SEC team

Had an influence on CU gaining votes in the AP & Coaches polls. Would help if they keep it close at Florida.

On that note, it's good for perception of CU if Nebraska beats Troy but let's be honest. It would be an allsome day on Saturday if we get to enjoy a Buffs win and then troll Nub fans with how their team let us beat them twice.

At this point in the season, I want the Nubs to lose waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy more than see the Buffs in the top 25.

I highly doubt CSU beating Arkansas actually had a tangible affect on CU getting votes. This isn’t basketball and no coach or writer is looking at a bad CSU team beating a bad Arky team as some kind of “quality win” for CU.

Ironically part of what may be making CSU look so bad is that they played two teams that are actually really good with a 2-0 Colorado team and 3-0 Hawaii.

Hawaii has a tough game this weekend at Army if only because it's going to be played 3,000 miles away from Hawaii at 4 AM their time.

Supposing they win it though, they should be 6-0 going into Laramie.

I keep hearing folks here talk abut how terrible Arkansas is. Why is that? They ought to be halfway decent.

I think that not only did Bielema lose that team but that he recruited poorly. New coach has it going on the recruiting trail, but there's a lot to fix with that program.

Arky's recruiting rankings have bee consistently good the last several years.

Obviously a whole bunch of those guys have not lived up to their billing though.

If we win Saturday, we're ranked going into the UCLA game IMO. There's going to enough carnage to make it happen. That said, I'm not sure it matters-if this team can go into the Coliseum at 5-0 and beat USC, anything-division or conference title, NY6 bowl appearances is possible at that point.

Wow so the Nubs didn’t call the game off? I thought for certain they were going to call the game and have a funeral for Adrian Martinez.

Nobody knows TBH. They recruit way better than we do. They’ve finished since 2015: 22,23,27,48 and 22. They have the talent. For the most part they just under achieve and get blown away by the SEC teams who recruit better.

Arkansas has been one of the most underperforming programs in the SEC for quite a while, and they're also good for at least one WTF game per year.

At the same time, when you look at the SEC West, how do you figure Arkansas is going to crack that Bama/Auburn/LSU bottleneck at the top of the division anyway? They're doomed to be an also-ran program for the foresee future, until some massive shifts in the landscape of that division take place.

Arkansas is really bad. I have a friend that works closely with the AD down there tell me before Arkansas played CSU that he didn't expect any conference wins this year and that CSU would be a dog fight. But I do hope CSU wins out....that said. Furk Nebraska

I don't understand the mentality of rooting against our own SoS.

It’s sports, nobody wants to actively root for their rivals to win. I hope the Raiders, Chiefs, chargers, Dodgers, Giants and D-bags lose every game they play. College is the only sport where you’re supposed to hope your rivals win to make you look better.

yes, college and pros are different.

I get the idea of not wanting to root for your rivals, but I view it as "my love/support for CU (or VT or Wisconsin) is several orders of magnitude greater than my hate/disdain for CSU (or Nebraska or Miami or whoever).
