Wouldn't be shocked if they spend more on football than they make. Killing their program might not be a bad idea for them.
Don't be shocked. CSU Football is one of the most heavily subsidized (percentage wise) programs in FBS.

article is blocked here at work - what does it say ?
I bet they try public/private, and it turns into a HUGE cluster-****
CSU averages about 19k per home game. The idea that you would throw all of those dollars at such limited demand is totally absurd. It's what's wrong with the public sector.
In fairness, they were probably going to give away 15k student tickets per game to the new on campus stadium, so that would bump attendance up a bit.
Jelly?
God I hate Matt Stephens
That video says a MILLION bucks to put in new bleachers? That can't be right... even if they're putting in full seats, that seems excessive
Remove, repair, replace, re-install. For the whole stadium, I think thats about right
Maybe, that's $30 a seat.
I think the claim that they need $30MM to renovate Hughes is a little disingenuous. $30MM seems like the number if they want to make things as luxurious as possible.
They do need help with some of those rooms however, locker room is atrocious. No hot water to the women's bathroom ... I thought the troughs at Folsom were bad.
They might have to do some cement patch work too.
They definitely would.
Remove bleachers, remove brackets, patch holes in concrete from brackets. Drill new holes, install new brackets, install new bleachers.
Yep. Nearly all of that stuff looked completely unnecessary to fix. Also I had to LOL at the locker rooms. And CSU fans say with a straight face that their facilities are better
