4 years, fully guaranteed, 990k annually with incentive bonuses for each winAnd CU will be hamstrung by the absolutely insane RG probably just gave Sanford so we're stuck with an OC/QB coach we can't buyout
Good news is there is statistically no possible way Sanford could make the Buffs offense regress.
And grumpy old menLots of Negative Nancys on this here thread...
I don’t have another 20 years to wait for the football program to get its **** together. And grumpy old men
So we’re hoping he’s consistently mediocre?Remember when we said that if we had even a mediocre offense, we would have won at least three more games this year?
I feel as though Sanford gives a chance to achieve a mediocre offense.
Yes, He has made a career of taking high-powered offenses and making them incrementally worse. BUT...we haven't seen what he can do when he inherits a horribly undercoached offense.
Me either. I was poking fun at someone who always refers to us as "grumpy old men" when we aren't happy with something, which is everything these daysI don’t have another 20 years to wait for the football program to get its **** together.
That was before we realized the defense was also not very good.Remember when we said that if we had even a mediocre offense, we would have won at least three more games this year?

It's a start?So we’re hoping he’s consistently mediocre?
Well...yeah.That was before we realized the defense was also not very good.
For anyone who doesn't think Marion would have been worth the risk, please watch this entire interview and then we'll talk.
The only mediocre offenses Sanford has had is when he took over the #1 and #2 offenses from the previous year. Minny scored 10 points against Bowling Green at home this year and threw for the same number of TDs as CU this year (10) with what was once considered an NFL QBWell...yeah.
Sanford is like a plastic surgeon who takes beautiful women and makes them look like feline freaks. It's a start?
I'm saying that mediocrity would have won us a few more games this year, which is the point.
He makes offenses worse. We were one of the worst offenses in college football last season. You don’t get the negativity?!Frankly, I don't get the negativity.
This should clearly be a solid step up from Chev. If it's not, I'll be damn surprised.
CU is not a good program. The first step to getting better is getting to be a consistent bowl team. Winning will improve recruiting, and draw better assistant coaches into the fold.
I'd be happy if, over the next decade, CU averages 6-8 wins per regular season, and at least plays in a couple Pac 12 championship games.
It seems to be the consensus, at least amongst realists here, that we would all be pretty happy with that. I don't see anything about this hire that is incompatible with that benchmark.
