Right call to cancel the game, but note that KU @ CU basketball is December 7th at 1:15pm.

That hoops game followed by an evening football game would be an amazing sports Saturday.
Someone had the idea of CU/Fresno being played Oct. 19 and then Fresno/UNLV moving their game to Nov.16 where they both have an open date.

Would mean 3 schools agreeing, and the Pac-12 office signing off on us playing a non conf game after the first 4 weeks.
We're scheduled to play Cal in a Thursday night game on the 16th. That won't work.

It has nothing to do with us playing Cal. We'd be playing Fresno Oct. 19
this is gonna be interesting. They have a lot of things to shuffle. I bet they just postpone it to another year.
I'm sure the PAC 12 would be OK with that if it meant another one of it's teams was potentially bowl eligible, and it meant one more game to air on the Pac-12 network. Getting UNLV to move would be the hard part.
Is it even allowed to play two games 3 days apart? That sounds incredibly unsafe.
If we were 5-6 and it was postponed til a future year we might get an exemption for a bowl
Do not want. Not a fan of playing a 13 game schedule
There's nothing do with playing 3 days apart, where are you getting this? It's OCT 19 we'd play. Fresno and UNLV would play NOV 16
Double derp (played it in 2003)It probably just be moved to some year where we a space in our non-conference schedules. I don't think we ever made up the game we cancelled in 2001 with Washington State.

so we have a bye next week? Any chance we can get a FCS team here on short notice next week to get a 12 game season?
Good point. Would also be our best shot.
Will they grant an exemption with one of our 5 wins coming against a FCS team?
i would look at tulanethis had to have happened to some school before, hurricane, tornado, earthquake, flood. What historical context do we have to look at?
