At least they have basketball... We have Tad. Once he's done CU is done. This also shows that basketball carries exactly zero weight in college athletics realignment. What’s Arizona going to do? A basketball blue blood that is now conferenceless?

Maybe, like KU, go independent with a scaled down football budget. This also shows that basketball carries exactly zero weight in college athletics realignment. What’s Arizona going to do? A basketball blue blood that is now conferenceless?
CU should probably also submit an application!

“USC and UCLA also fit in with the Big Ten’s academic profile, as both schools are among the nation's top research universities. Nebraska is the only Big Ten school that isn't a member of the Association of American Universities.”
Comedy in the midst of tragedy.
Why would BYU leave the Big 12? The other three don't do anything.Time for the P12 to call BYU, SDSU, Boise, and CSU.
North: UW, WSU, UO, OSU, BSU, UU, BYU
South: Cal, Stan, SDSU, UA, ASU, CSU, and CU.
I think that would be salvageable. I don’t think the Big 12’s media deal would be that much better than the P12’s in that case.
Baylor is available.Its not Salvagable.

Best case scenario is being part of a Big 12 move with some of these other teams. We recruit Texas, and we'd be back to playing there somewhat regularly.
more flyover states. big deal.Kansas City? St Louis? You egotistical mimosa sipping coastal elite. You have no understanding of the Blue Collar man and the flyover states he lives in.
Why does it feel like the world is swirling around completely out of control right now?
I’m sort of heart broken. I always believed that CU could return to National prominence. Now I realize that the gold in CU’s colors is fool’s gold. I’m 68 and am coming to grips with the fact that CU will never again be competitive in football.
But, at the same time, their are much more important things in life.
I agree. If cu handles this well and gets some luck, this could be a great opportunity for cu. Our previous situation clearly wasn’t working.I thought you were 86...LOL.
I'm seeing the demise of the Pac-12 as a big reset opportunity for CU. Two things I'm looking for from this move is rivalry and better media access.
What. Like Tradition matters?Feel like the CA legislature may try to intervene if they have any influence. Keeping the four big CA schools together has been a priority and I am sure the NorCal schools would be unhappy.
Be great to see CU included; however, don’t think it would happen. College football is becoming unrecognizable and my desire to care is shrinking more rapidly than some appendages in cold water.
we don't end up the conference of irrelevant leftovers
**** Larry Scott
that is the point. we won't get stomped forever. even at a reduced payout we will be able to hold the next mel tucker and build from there. and if you are a recruit-- you are better off at ANY super conference team than in the land of the leftovers.is it better to be competitive in a conference of irrelevant leftovers or getting stomped on by the likes of Ohio State, Michigan etc week after week
