CU vs CSU.....never too early

From a certain perspective, I don't give two ****s about how they run the ball this year (as long as it's very rarely the QB). Just gain 100+ yards rushing/game, and we'll win (I know easier said than done, but it's a simple measurable). We rush for less, we'll lose. When Woelk posted this stat, it surprised me how true it held for the Buffs last year. With the kind of QBs and receivers we have, we just have to commit to and establish the run enough to open our passing game. Thankfully, our O-line is stud enough to make that happen this year. I think CU beats CSU 45-31.

'STAT TO REMEMBER: When Colorado rushed for at least 100 yards last year, the Buffs were 10-0. When they rushed for less than 100? 0-4.'

Montez needs to be Joe Montana this year. Get it in their hands fast and watch them run for 80 yards. We have so much talent at WR I doubt we'll really ever see press coverage. Quick passes and we'll get 5-10 yards a play. Then once you do that 5-10 times they'll start cheating, then crush their souls.
We're going to see a 2 deep safety all game. In the first half it is going to be Ross and Lindsay on short routes. Bubble screens to Fields. 2nd half is when the deep throws will commence.

It sounds like a powerful stat, until you actually look at the rushing totals. 100 yards is really arbitrary (and actually quite poor).

Seven of our ten wins had 200+ rushing yards and another had 175 yards.

We didn't lose to USC (96) or Washington (84) because we were 1-2 rushing first downs away from 100 yards, just as we did not beat Utah by getting over that hump (108).
