CU vs Nicholls State thread

I expect a better performance tomorrow now that the rust is off. Hampton is a better team than Nicholls (which puts just how bad that first half was into perspective).
 
We won? Haha. I caught the closing remarks on KOA and they made it sound like we lost, "a punch in the gut"..."how will the Buffs respond to this awful performance" .... yada yada yada. I was driving home and turned it off. Told my wife, "We lost to frigging Nicholls St. of all people." I was queasy in the pit of my stomach.

Worst 17 point win imaginable, but we did win. 85-68

I'm not so sure we do have the talent to take us through the down nights. This was probably the easiest game on the schedule, or one of them. Once conf play hits there is no more easy outs. Hell even USC looks respectable, though they could be this year's UW.
 
Win and advance. It sucks what it looked like, but we got the W. If we do the same tomorrow, we may lose. Do the same against PSU and we will lose.

"You have to figure out how to win on nights when the ball isn't going in the basket, and we don't have that mentality. We have the outscore you mentality."

This may be the first team Tad could say that about, with the possible exception of his first season with Burks and Higgins. Call me crazy, but I think its a good thing. There is a confidence on offense we haven't seen since Tad's first season. The difference is the talent level is higher from top to bottom.
