In what world do you live in that CU has this much clout and our AD has any power whatsoever?

Would Utah football opt out of a bowl game? Coach Kyle Whittingham says it’s up to his players.
University of Utah head football coach Kyle Whittingham says it will be up to his players to decide if the Utes will go to a bowl game, provided they beat Washington State this Saturday.

This is all based on what I know about the Pac 12 bowl selection process and pure common sense. The non-NY6 order for the Pac 12 this year is (correct me if I don't have this right) Alamo, Armed Forces, Independence. The Pac 12 states (per the cougcenter link) that the Alamo has to pick the team with the best available record or somebody within one loss of them and on down. Thus, if USC wins Friday-the Alamo/AF bowls are choosing from CU, UW, and maybe Utah if they win this weekend. We're the surest thing of the three-UW isn't a sure thing to play in a bowl, and Utah may opt to skip a bowl game. If you're the Alamo and Armed Forces (if Oregon wins) and you have to pick somebody Sunday, don't you want CU over Washington given UW's COVID issues? I would think you'd rather have a game than the other way around-and the easiest way to get there in either scenario is to take CU over UW.
