Northern Illinois: Dave Doeren will not coach the Huskies' in their bowl game.

This kind of thing might we why we haven't heard jack.
 
allegedly, doeren signed for 1.8 per with nc state and he arranged a good package for assistants. he was making 420k a year.

if we really are seeking to slot in at 2.5 or so, then this guy was probably not a target. that's just a guess.
