Some people might not like it, but I love how Mac tears up after big wins. Tells me that it's not just an act how he reacts when we get screwed by refs. He just loves the kids.
Honestly, I don't think I've ever seen a coach of any team that I've followed that I've wanted to see succeed so much.

Let me ask this way: would you exchange a 9-10 win season this year with Montez putting up monster numbers (4K+ and 25+ TDs) this season for a nuh beat-down next season?

Agreed. Wearing your heart on your sleeve and being genuine is fine. But let's all remember:

It is fine to want both but a big year for Montez is a significant program boost when he leaves and is a 1st round draft pick...

I agree. Was really impressed with his toughness and cool level headed demeanor in a big game and wish we had two years with him.
I agree. My point, however, is that we know it's born out of genuine emotion and not an act to try to deflect from the shortcomings of the team.
We all know that the coaching ranks are full of fake assholes, like, you know, Dan Hawkins. I prefer Mac.

This isn't related to the OP at all, but Montez is on pace for 42TD's, 7INT's, 4100+yds. If that pace holds, I would say the chance of him leaving is about 95%.

Howell tweeted out that Stefanou pulled a groin, which might have compounded the problem. Landwehr may punt on Saturday with Price doing the kicking, or Price may have to do it all for a game.

Kickers are like relief pitchers in baseball-they're a little out there, and very small things (like their holder being injured) can knock them out of rhythm.
