Does CU have the right personnel for the 3-4?

He's the only one on the D line coming close to playing P12 ball and just outside of the bubble, realistically Frazier when in the game is not an improvement.

He was better with Tupou next to him though, don't you think? His new mates aren't what he's used to.
I've yet to figure out after so many games where Frazier best fits for production purposes offensively or defensively. I will say this Gilbert wouldn't have had the impact he did last year without Tupou a much more agile man than Edwards is currently.

Definitely. Carrell seems to be doing ok in the 4-3 though, don't you think?

Derek Mc has a lost a step or two since the ACL we've all seen this in the OOC & there's no one to sub with game experience. It is what it is Carrell = the Dutch boy sticking his finger in the dam.

I agree, but I think darius holland and shannon clavelle are doing okay ....
My bad I believed the discussion pertained to 2017, I've always believed Justin Bannon was one the best individual DL to wear the black and gold almost forgot about Kerry Hicks < stud.

I'd prefer to talk about the 2020 season where Livingston and Sami are tearing it up at NT. They remind folks of a guy that used to play here name of Tupou.

For ****s sake, Topou got pushed around by Washington last year. Go look at the replay. It is known. We get pushed around in the trenches by playoff caliber teams.

...and we lost our whole starting DL last year, so I don't know what people are expecting. The DL has been way better than most folks anticipated.

Javier will be good and he'll get better as the season goes on. He is learning how to play NT at this level. Next year he will be fine.

,,,and the JUCO strategy still makes plenty of sense for big DLs.

Everything is swell.
Everything is not swell, but it is okay to say the DL is somewhat better than anticipated. Didn't all 3 guys from our line last year sniff NFL jobs despite being pushed around by UW?

I agree we need to improve recruiting on the DL as the most important position and OL next (LB, RB and TE after that), but it is okay to say some things are better than anticipated but still rough.

Jury is still out IMO. I want to see how this weekend goes.

Stop being reasonable.
