I don't think there is much more that the school can do for its basketball programs. Is the renovations still coming to the Keg?
There's more that could be done that could maximize the revenue potential of the Keg. For instance, they have room to build an outer ring around the building that would house all the concessions and bathrooms. That would increase those concessions revenues while also gaining all of that corner and walkway space for additional seating since you would have seats instead of an open ring. Maybe club seats in those corners where the bathrooms are now. Chairbacks where we have bleachers would also make it so those seats could command pricing above GA levels.
It all feeds on itself, too. More revenue potential from single games means that CU can pay a visiting opponent more, which means we can attract higher quality opponents to the Keg, which means that the program gets more exposure on national tv to help recruiting & donations, and which also means that the program is better and makes more money. It's a nice, neat circle and it has a big impact on becoming elite. CU benefits from being a short drive from one of the nation's major airport hubs, too. We're much easier to get to than a place like Penn State, for example.
