I echo those who are impressed each time Embree speaks. He's a straight shooter, he doesn't dance around, and he isn't afraid to pull some punches. That, and a heaping amount of CU pride are just what we needed.

Considering EB & staff only had about 13 days to do any real recruiting, they did well with what little time they had.

Difference is they take care of the big things too like preparing a gameplan and special teams.
the part that i liked the most from the PC was the fact that he talked about how he wants to bring in kids next year to beat out the kids he recruited this year. and it will be the same every year. also, balancing of the depth chart. but, that admission of always bringing in better kids to beat out what is on the roster now was great to hear. assuming the kids hear that and understand it (kinda a leap, i'll admit) and still want to come to CU, that says a lot about what they are made of. that is the kind of attitude that will make CU a winner again.
now naturally, saying it and doing it are two totally different things. however, after listening to him talk at the presser.... i cant help but feel optimisitc for the future. he is obviously a very intelligent man, seems to know his football and has his **** together when it comes to a plan for the future.
time will tell what he can do on the field. as of right now, i could not be happier that JE is the head coach. i dont know if he is 40 but, he is a man.
