Team is already back in weight room following team meeting this morning

Brad Cotner and Marc Mustoe pass on last season of eligibility and will graduate this spring.

Tweak offense, focuse on defense this off season

Coaches will be recruiting until Dec. 15th, season will be evaluated during dead period.

Focus during last part of this recruiting cycle RB, DB, LB, WR

Biggest issue on D was lack of turnovers, D will be biggest thing they work on this offseason.
 
Not anticipating staff changes this offseason

Staff likes it in colorado, but understands that opportunities will come up for coaches on staff

Team must get more "powerful" this offseason, different goal for each player.

Doesn't anticpate any problems with Gillam in future regarding history of concussions

Spring practice will begin 2/13, spring game will be 3/15 before the selection sunday show. (CU should make this an event at Folsom)

Samson Kofavalu will return in Jan. He, Hennington, and Bell would have likely opened season as starters

This conflicts with some info in barzil. I really, really hope the info in barzil is correct. There needs to be changes to the coaching staff. When you're losing games by 4 points, special teams becomes very, very important. Take that for what you will.
 
Not ok to keep the band together. Hope that's just him providing cover for some guys.

Good points. I'm hoping there are a few coaching changes - prob not Baer :huh: but a few assistants (Neinas and Jeffocoat?).

In recruiting, we need LB and DL. Do we have enough in this class already?

HCMM could very well just be playing the game with the media. Make it look like coaches leave due to other opportunities, not being kicked out.

That's plausible. I suppose it wouldn't do any good to say "We're going to be replacing at least one, and possibly two coaches in the offseason". That would just produce a bunch of questions he'd prefer to not answer. Problem is that it kind of makes you wonder about the other stuff he's saying at the same time. How honest is he being?
 
Incredible that Samson is coming back. I don't think I will believe it until I see him listed on the depth chart in the fall midway through camp.
 
Mac should be handing in pink slips today. So I would hope he "anticipates" staff changes, and very soon. Re: Kafovalu, I'll believe it when I see it.
 
Samson would be a huge help. Having Samson and Hennington with a healthy Gillam would probably lower our defensive third down conversions by 10-15%. Had we managed that this year, we would have won 6-7 games.

Staff changes should not be announced in this end of season presser unless he already made the change and notified the people involved. I hope he is working it though and will have some announcements to make in late December or after bowl season ends.

I didn't expect him to, but if he ends up keeping his staff intact like he said, he needs to be shown the door sooner rather than later. I will be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt as long as he makes some needed changes.
 
If Samson has turned it around and has been taking care of himself, this could be the biggest news of the off season. Very skeptical he has, but I guess we will soon find out. Huge news, IMO.
