Folsom Field Size

Hey I pretty much agree with you, although I didn’t mind the CSU game being played in Denver. But in general I think all games (including CSU) should be played on campus, andFolsom is the right size for CU’s program as it stands. I’d rather get rid of the bench seating at Folsom and install modern chair back seating than add to Folsom’s seating capacity.

I’m just saying that if on the odd occasion that stadium capacity is an issue, CU has the option of playing in Denver. But I don’t really see that happening unless CU schedules someone like ND in the future.
We should always play one game a year at mile high. Yeah it suck’s but this is how the big boys do it(sec). That way we have 7 home games every year.

I know it would be absurdly expensive, and there's not really a good place for it in Westwood, but I've always thought UCLA should have figured out a way to have an on-campus stadium. The Rose Bowl is an hour away from the campus. That's no way to run a program that you hope will attract and retain long term alumni engagement.

I don't think they have the room on campus

They do not. Westwood is completely wedged in between the Santa Monica mountains, the Getty Museum complex, a Federal Cemetery, Beverly Hills, and the intersection of the 405 & 10: two of the two busiest fwy’s in L.A.

UCLA is mostly city, and crowded as ****. I would have hated going to school there, as a “campus,” especially compared to CU (and Vandy).

In L.A., the Rose Bowl is as close to UCLA campus as anything else is. Out here, you just sort of get used to everything being about 45 mins away (without traffic). lol

And the Rose Bowl is an amazing location for a stadium, even if the in-game experience there is awful.

Completely agree. But also besides the logistical and financial nightmare, you know UCLA will never give up the pride of saying they play in the Rose Bowl.

In most cases, I suspect they bought a cheap ticket and their morals drive them to stay in their assigned seats even though free upgrades are readily available.
At the OkieState game at the end of last year the wife and I moved from our seats (6th row up, 2 sections from visitor section) to the back of the bowl above the band after half because it was insanely crowded down low. To the point of my wife having to sit on my lap crowded. Except for the ice on the bleachers I preferred being away from the smarmy masses even in the cold weather.

I hadn't considered people intentionally downgrading to avoid crowds, but that makes sense. I know several people who prefer to hang at the back of GA concerts for the same reason.

the sidelines need to be widened
They were wide back in the day and someone had an expansion idea to add those seats in. It would not be physically hard to take them back out because they would not be part of the stadium infrastructure at the bottom of the stands. All of this because there used to be a track in there.

They'd be better off moving the campus to Pasadena.
