About a zero percent chance Terrance Lang will play in 2017.
They're going to redshirt him?

In the weight room.He is physically ready to contribute.
Because one time he will be right...and then he will be able to crow endlessly. The great Maximus has declared after 1 day in shorts that our DL likely better in 2017 than '16. And that Isaac Miller is a future NFL tackle. Why does be insist on doing this?

Why the hate for a guy that took the time to analyze the team and also put his opinion out there for people to talk about. No wonder we don't have him posting here.
Yeah, he isn't going to be the difference between a decent DL and a really good DL anyway, so no need to rush him. Should be a really good player a year or two down the road.Size wise, sure. But he is REALLY raw and would definitely benefit from a redshirt year (which would also get him acclimated to the academic side as well).
Yeah. This. The talent level is probably an improvement, but the level of play probably won't reflect that until later in the year... if we are lucky.Based on speed/athleticism along with player development of guys who didn't get many snaps last year, I think it's a possibility that the 2017 DL is deeper than the 2016 DL. And, with that, I think it could result in our DL being better when we get into the last part of the season (fresher & guys making a jump with additional game experience). I also think that anyone expecting to replace 3 DLs and not miss a beat in the opener is setting himself up for disappointment.
Bro, he can ball. I watched quite a few IMG games, he stood out too.Sparaco is getting a lot of run! Love seeing #10 doin thangs.
Go to pages 22-23 of Plati's spring notes and you'll find all the current heights/weights for the spring roster: http://www.cubuffs.com/documents/2017/2/1//2017_CU_FB_RECRUITING_List_2c_Notes_Bios_.pdf
Hey thanks BuffNik. Never seen this before. Lots of cool tidbits in there.Go to pages 22-23 of Plati's spring notes and you'll find all the current heights/weights for the spring roster: http://www.cubuffs.com/documents/2017/2/1//2017_CU_FB_RECRUITING_List_2c_Notes_Bios_.pdf
Franke is above 280 now. He'll be ready by fall.Franke really needs to step up this year, he brings an added athleticism that the others don't really have when it comes to pass rush but hasn't been able to put the weight on and be physical enough.
That's all good but it's the offseason, it is easy for most big guys to put on weight this time of year but a totally different thing to keep that weight through fall camp and the regular season.Franke is above 280 now. He'll be ready by fall.
really gets the juices flowing reading that.

If guys develop and take the next step on the OL, we could have a situation where our starting 5 is:
LT Miller
LG Irwin
C Lynott
RG Kough
RT Haigler
Miller may not be ready and Lynott may not be able to make the jump to center. But if it shakes out like this, it would be a very talented and athletic OL I would have a ton of confidence in.
Javier Edwards is absolutely HUGE.
