Freshman All-Americans....

who would have believed that an undersized, two star kid who was given the last scholarship a half hour before NLI signing day, Kai Maiava would be a first team freshman all-american, be the 8th true freshman ever to start for CU and after this bowl game will have tied the most starts of a true freshman ever with Daniel Sanders (9), have 74 knockdowns in 8 games, 12 or which were against then #3 Oklahoma for his first start????????

sometimes the intangibles like HEART and DEDICATION and PURE MEANESS should be graded as well in recruiting. This kid has definitely given the offensive line a new attitude.

Congrats Kai and to Ryan as well. great job and the future is so bright for both of you.
 
Damn do i remember the crying when we lost that Juco O-lineman and replaced him with Kia, imagine that it appears coaches know more than we do.

I thought he was offered after Erickson at ASU snaked those 2 hs linemen away from the Buffs? We ended up with Tau and Cobra Kai.

Good trade, IMO.
