You're being lenient on this one. The QB gave himself up. He lowered a shoulder 3 yds out of bounds. It was a penalty all the way by definition of the rule.
 
We lack talent in a couple areas, OL being the worst but overall this team has the talent to compete with most teams if we would just stop giving away games.

The new coach isn't coming into an empty cupboard
