If I was the CSU coach, I'd make Montez beat me. Load the box and keep Lindsay from taking over the game. They can't play us straight up. We have too much strength, size and depth for them to even try it. They have to overload one part of the field and hope we make mistakes in the other. Montez needs to be the man on Friday.
Are you craving pickles and ice cream?Just got one of them pang thangs. Ya know, that nervous pang in the pit of yer stomach? I just got one while thinking about the game.
More like a hamburger and onion rings. Are you craving pickles and ice cream?
I also wonder if Nall got a little dinged up. OSU started to put Tyner and that other kid in during the second half. Then, once they got behind by a lot, they had to sling it in order to play catch up.CSU took away the OSU running game in the 2nd half and put it on the OSU QB to beat them. He couldn't. I suspect they will do the same with Montez. The CU running game is more two-dimensional though in that the QB has to be accounted for as well. I expect we will score points.

I tend to agree with this sentiment, but I'd look at net turnovers.
If we're 0 or +, we win.
If we're -1, I still think we win, but it's gonna be close.
If we're -2, I do not like our chances at all.
CSU didn't take away the OSU running game as much as OSU abandoned it because of the big deficit caused by their turnovers. Nall had all of 6 carries in the 2nd half.
I'd bet our dline and LBs are between ineffective and great. We will get some stops and Bobo will get his play calls in balance. Keep Stevens off balance.
This is correct.
Even before the deficit got big OSU had gone away from the running game even though it was working for them. Almost as if they thought they had to prove they could move the ball in the air. If they had a QB that day who could hit multiple open receivers downfield they would have but he flat missed a number of plays that would have been major gains if not scores.
CU has a more diverse running attack than OSU being able to attack both the middle and the edges. CSU has good defenders for a MWC level team but if we get backs to the second level any play can go the distance.
We also have a clear advantage with our WRs vs their DBs. Force them to respect the run and we end up with open receivers downfield. Unlike OSUs QB Montez is much more likely to hit them.
The pick six was definitely his fault. He threw it way behind him and if he didn't that guy had no one in front of him for a first down.I thought Luton looked good for a new QB. Anderson said as much too. The TOs were mostly the fault of his receivers. One dude fell on his route and the other guy did something dumb that I forget. Only Luton mistake was that he tried to make a throw while getting sacked that was an INT. Bobo also made some comments to the affect that his secondary really got gifted. There was lots of opportunity to make big plays through the air. It was killing Anderson cause he saw all kinds of weakness in the CSU secondary and bad execution kept him from exploiting it. He must feel like a high school coach feels all the time.
True Freshman Isaiah Hodgins is starting for them. Not saying he isn't good, because we were after him too, but if he's starting as a Frosh, you have a problem at WROSU was missing their best WR. The rest seemed to be G5 type WR's, from what I saw.
I completely forgot about him. Looks like he had one catch for 11 yards. Didn't even noticeTrue Freshman Isaiah Hodgins is starting for them. Not saying he isn't good, because we were after him too, but if he's starting as a Frosh, you have a problem at WR

Like a Murphy.Yeah, but can he dropkick?
Was that before or after he had a clutch drop and fumble? He was definitely missed. Their tight ends looked pretty good though.
agree completely and also think csu was able to complete passes against osu that they will find more difficult against CU.CSU took away the OSU running game in the 2nd half and put it on the OSU QB to beat them.
