Games thread- MEN'S bball hosts Washington (Thurs., 1/19/23, 7:00 MT; ESPNU) and WSU (Sunday, 4:00 PM MT, ESPNU)

It'd give us an actual option to guard bigs. That's the only reason I was bringing him up, given we have Hadley guarding a 7 foot and playing exclusively in the paint when he's a capable wing shooter and perimeter defender.
 
Superman that ho on the in arena PA at halftime was easily the highlight so far. 😂

And yet many of us kept wondering all off season why we weren’t making an effort to replace at least some of Battey’s presence and play. Klintman wasn’t going to fill those shoes. We needed another big. We got 2 short, sh!tty Ivys. Tad’s reaping what he sowed.

This may be the least mature group of guys I've seen play for Tad.
KJ has a lot of good games and TdS is usually great at home, but no EB, Kin, etc.
Is there anybody who could get in his teammates faces, and get them going during a game? KJ might, but he's still showing his youth.

I find myself daydreaming about CP and football, during these games

This team seriously lacks talent. It’s not about maturity - WTF does that even mean?

If none of them are willing to spend the time to do better than 50% on FTs, none of them are going to hold anyone else accountable, either.

And apparently Tad is ok with that.

Yeah the free throw thing speaks to larger issues. ZERO focus on attention to detail from the players.
 
0 effort from 90% of the team.
They've quit.
Put the Walkons and QA in they can't possibly be worse
 
I’m worried about an NIT bid at this point. This team is regressing. That makes me sad. 🫣

Watching Jokic water polo those backside rebounds right in, versus watching Lovering offensive rebound at the rim and not just bump it in is proof that we have nobody coaching the Bigs
 
And Washington's coach just called a timeout when his team started to lose the momentum, not after they turned a 14 pt lead into a 4 pt deficit.

Getting blown out AND outcoached.

Just pointing this out...we scored on how many straight possessions? 3...like I said.
 
That was a good example of how a mid-game timeout can impact the team.

Well done by Tad, and a great response by the team! Go Buffs!

He caught the valley, uncontested, with two hands, 3 feet from the rim.

I could put it back mid air from there, if I could get that close.
 
Can the board finally recognize that LOB is, in fact, a high level player and needs to look for his opportunities more?

He's our 3rd best player right now and the only guy who consistently brings energy.
