Agree with a lot of what buffgal stated about concerns with the team.
Wetta is a good facilitator with the ball in her hands which showed statistically with her 10 assists to only one turnover, but she is almost no threat to score.
Buffs were 7-20 from beyond the arc for a 35% rate. Not too and, but it took a while to get going. And Lior Garzon was 1-8, which I suspect isn't something she does often. All the Buffs looks from deep were open. Freshman Tabitha Betson hit a pair of treys that just beat the shot clock.
A positive statistic for the team was 26 assists on 32 made baskets. On the other hand, it doesn't look like there are many players who can create a shot off the dribble.
Jade Masogayo was the most active Buff in terms of working to geet to the basket when she got touches in the paint. She's athetic and long. Had she not been in foul trouble she might have scored 30. As it was she only played 23 minutes.
UNC played a match-p 2-3 zone the entire game and for the most part the Buffs did a good job of patiently working the ball for open looks. As was stated earlier, the biggest missing element was consistent long range shooting.
JR played 11 different players in the first half and in general was liberal in substituting throughout the game. This certainly had an impact on both ends of the court which makes it harder to evaluate how good or not the teeam will be down the road.
