What other job suspends you if you get a dui?
a cop, maybe?

Based solely on what I read on here and on Rivals, AND billing a total homer who would crucify the program if this had been a Nub, I believe Frazier wasn't driving at all. He was sleeping in the car. DWAI means he had a beer or two at most. Model citizen, didn't endanger anyone: punishment fits the crime.
I doubt it.a cop, maybe?
I know a guy who got a DUI in Boulder for changing his tire while drunk. If the police feel as though you were/are intending to operate a vehicle (including bicycles), you get a DUI/DWAI.Based solely on what I read on here and on Rivals, AND billing a total homer who would crucify the program if this had been a Nub, I believe Frazier wasn't driving at all. Shhh....What other job suspends you if you get a dui?

Only when you drive as part of your job. I used to work at a rent a car place and that would get you punish. This is way different. We have a court system which he went through. That is what is there for. CU does not need to get involved with this.
Three words. Hack. For. You.What other job suspends you if you get a dui?
Please inform me then. I was pulling some facts based on what I learned in drivers Ed 27 years ago.misinformed
You realize this argument could be stretched quite a ways, right?
Yes but it is the truth.
Bummed to lose moral superiority.
If by "suspend" you mean get fired, never again perform your duties as you were trained for, and lose your retirement benefits...Naval AviatorWhat other job suspends you if you get a dui?
Not at all. The court system obviously wouldn't suspend him from playing a college football game.He is getting punished by the law. You are mixing cu with the court system.

I'm talking about the athletic department, which represents our university, deciding that a player being convicted of a misdemeanor in which he potentially could've endangered his own life or that of anyone else on the road should be given no real punishment. Yes, it's good for our sports fans and our football team, but it sends the wrong message in my opinion. We aren't a ******* SEC school.
Great news! **** the sanctimonious.

Then your post prompted me to do 3 minutes of research. In CO DWAI IS .05-.079; DUI IS .08+.
For a 240 lb. make, 3 drinks in an hour brings him to .03, while 4 drinks is .06. Five drinks gets that guy to .08.

You do realize you have a beer as your avatar, right? Right?
That's a good response. We have to assume our coach and AD know a LOT more than us. Considering this is the first sort of "slap on the wrist" punishment I've seen doled out by our head coach, I will trust in him until I find a reason not to.I see where your coming from but I think the AD trusts that the court system will provide punishment fitting the crime from the legal and public safety stand point. Now when it is the AD's decision to institute their punishment they will evaluate how the player can represent the school. During an interview Mac talked about about the fact that Frazier did so many things in the last 6 weeks which led them to this punishment. Neither you nor I know how it went. So st the end of the day it comes to trusting the AD's judgement or not. Knowing that we do not have all the information it comes down to that. Mac has already proven to be someone who develops players to be more than just football players, This is not the same as the SEC. This staff will make a decision objectively not based on what other schools do.
Are you fine with losing? year-in-year-out losing? 0-9 in conference play? If your answers are yes, then I see your point. If your answers are no, then you have some serious cognitive dissonance going on in your head.
What does that have to do with anything?! Are you saying that him liking beer means that he should be in favor of drunken driving? He is therefore a hypocrite for criticizing someone for illegal behavior, due to his stance of supporting something that is completely legal. Am I understanding your position correctly?
I just had an employee go thru the first time dui process. No jail, lots of money, education, community service, probation, random ua's, auto-lock device on vehicle for 1 year. He also lost his license for 90 days before he was allowed to drive with the autolock. What is the cost of a dui? Jail, money, education, community service? Also, long term effects of being in the system?
"At 3 a.m Sunday, an officer on routine patrol came up on a car stopped on 27th Way just before the intersection with Baseline Road, according to Boulder police spokeswoman Laurie Ogden.
The officer watched the car remain in the intersection through one light cycle before initiating a traffic stop.
The officer approached the vehicle and found Frazier asleep at the wheel, with his foot on the brake and the transmission in drive. The officer tried to wake Frazier up and eventually had to nudge him to get him to wake up, Ogden said." (the engine was running)
This was a very dangerous situation and the young man was smashed. The penalty is a joke. Every poster here had predicted 1 to 2 games - which would have been fair. He'd have been an idiot if he didn't behave afterwards - knowing the length of his suspension depended on it
