PALO ALTO, Calif. — The University of Colorado men's golf team never caught fire as a group here Saturday and slipped five spots in the standings into a 14th place finish as Stanford's "The Goodwin" came to a close. No. 9 Washington rallied for the win, firing the best round of the day (a 10-under 270) to finish with a 22-under 818 score. No. 47 Nevada snuck into second (821), ahead of host and No. 14 Stanford (823), which had led after the first two rounds. No. 51 SMU slipped from second into fourth (824) with Oregon rounding out the top five (828).
