Hansen, Hawkins 'dead even'

Call me a pessimist, call me a tinfoil hat wearing CT'er, call me a hater, I really believe deep, down inside, in places the public never sees, DH truly believes CH is the best QB and, in his own mind, he's in the process of unwinding the obvious conclusion reached last year that resulted in TH's redshirt being removed, again, to usher in the final glorious year of CH's career.

I really hope not. CH has done well and accomplished a lot. For him, it is an impossible situation. I have never heard a bad word about CH as a person, but this is big time FB, at least it is supposed to be, you know "This ain't intramurals..." and it was obvious a change was needed. It was obvious in '08 no later than the KU game. If CH truly is the best QB the Buffs have, this staff has failed to recruit or develop somebody. God bless him, but DC's have figured out what to dowhen CH is under center and the Buffs are to easy to defend....

any kind of constructive soul-searching the staff might have done in the off-season having been given second-life with no buyout....obviously didn't happen.

see the Ridgell article? Hawk is talking about "cleaning things up" again. Kiesau too. featured pic is of Cody. same with the BDC article about the scrimmage: pic of Cody. maybe they are trying to motivate TH....that's the only possible explanation and i put that at about 10%.

Same BS , different year. Dan Fairbanks and his ego and unwillingness to change or play the better guy over lunchpail larry will cost this team again. I love CU but I despise hawkins.

Jefferson with 6 catches and a TD was the only thing I read that didn't make me want to puke.

I've decided to watch NCAA basketball and work on the profiles in the Recruiting Archive. I can't handle thinking about the Dan & Cody Dog and Pony Show any more.

:dito:

I can still see that smug look on his face the night before Thanksgiving during his coaches show. And even after getting an 11th hour reprieve, he still has the nerve to pull this ****.

the last two coaches shows were the end for me. i was skeptical for a long time....but that crap was unreal.

I think it's time to question DH's sanity. Only a madman continues to do things he knows to be wrong and harmful to him.

At least I have a kid to keep me busy. See ya in 2011

I am starting to get the sick feeling in my stomach again about this upcoming season. It is hard to be a fan of a team that you know has the ability to be so much better than they end up showing on the field because of the failure of the person who is supposed to be their leader.

One more thing, Dan Hawkins has killed my post count.:pissed:

Funny you should mention this. I have a buddy who swears that Hawkins is mentally unstable. He thinks he lost it somewhere in 2008 and that he's just plain unhinged. It would explain a lot of things.

I think he's right and there is no doubt Hawkins is driving me insane.

If a senior and junior are dead even, the nod should go to the junior for continuity purposes, since he has two years left to grow.

Is Dan Hawkins really willing to destroy his own coaching career just so his son can be a 4 year-starter?

I know parents love their kids, but that´d be self abandonment.

Just out of curiosity, what does everybody think about Coach Mac's apparent love of Hawkins? He is still begging us to support Dan and give him a chance.

All of you silly guys need to just calm the **** down,. As for me, I sure as hell hope Hansen is way head of Cody in reality. Coaches love to create "competition." I hope that is all this is.

If Hansen can't seperate himself from Cody its his own damn fault if he doesn't start.

This.

I know we've seen Cody be the inferior game day player but Hansen needs to step up in practice and separate himself, or frankly we need to ditch both of them. As stated in some thread earlier, on game day i know Hansen is better for us than Cody. Is he any better relative to the rest of the league? not so sure about that.

I know Hansen is not a savior. I am not even sure he is an average Big 12 QB.

But I know he is better than Cody and he deserves the same built-in advantages that Cody has had in the past. Let him have nearly all the reps with the 1s and see how it goes. It is easy to say that all Hansen needs to do is separate himself from Cody, but unfortunately one QB gets the benefit of the doubt time and time again.

Cody is a machine in practice, Tyler stands very little chance to outperform him there. Oh well, at least we'll have a new coach this time next year.
