BTW, if the Aggies terminate Franchione without cause...they owe him 1.7 mil annually through 2011...They may try really hard to hang him. He must be a greedy ****er

Boy, oh boy! Incentives? CU??? Who'da thunk it?

Wonder if Dan would be P.O.'ed if he learned Dickie Tharp gave out a contract to a HC FB coach, where he got a million $ for sitting on his hands, which he promnptly did!
 
It's nice to have the incentives for winning, but winning is his job. I love to see the incentives for graduating athletes and keeping the program respectable.
 
agreed.... ironically, the universities JOB is to graduate students/athletes. Its bizzare that they have to emphasize that aspect... but its real...
 
I think the NCAA watches the graduation rate - so the school and coach have the NCAA to please as well as the community; it's a bummer when your job requires country club membership and give you the $$ to join!!!
 
If you want to see a funny contract look at this one from University of Louisiana-Monroe. It looks like it should have been a part of the Water Boy movie.

That's a fairly common stipulation for employer provided quarters. But yeah it's pretty funny the way it's written.
