It doesn't bother me that EB doesn't have coordinator experience, as long as his OC and DC do, similar to what Hoke has done at SDSU with a couple of coordinators with a track record of success.

This nonsense about Hawkins recruiting gangbusters needs to stop. He had one good class where three of the headliners were either run off, an injury victim or a criminal. Take those three out and the class is not nearly as sparkly. The rest of the classes were average.
Our recruiting classes under Mac, Slick and Barnett (in the beginning) were light years ahead of Talkins. We need to get back to that type of recruiting if we truly want to be a very good program. By all accounts EB can recruit, at a minimum, that is a step in the right direction. I tend to think he can coach as well given how well respected he seems to be in coaching circles.
Edit: To be fair to Talkins he did seem to be good at finding good players that no one else recruited.
