Hopefully we can keep him tied down thru next year and Baer's contract runs out and we can give him one of the multi year contracts. At this point he isn't in place to be a FBS HC, are you thinking he jumps to a FCS or lower HC gig or a big boy comes calling for him to call plays?
Snow and Duff were right, this guy knows what he is doing. The short yardage is my only complaint. When you have guys running wide open, that isn't on the OC. Work in progress.

This is correct. Scenarios for departure right now are roughly:
1. Idaho cans Petrino and targets Lindgren as the young mind that will lead them to some kind of relevance in their current conference stepchild situation.
2. Some real reaches in the coaching carousel happen, likely not until 2015 or beyond, like Scott Frost jumping for a HC job and Oregon offering big money or a big time school that's currently underperforming fires their OC and comes calling.
Neither of these are very likely at all. Just pay the man next year since he appears to be making progress and is especially an asset mentoring our QBs.
