I think we should keep the same strategy with QBs going forward.
Throwing guys into the fire before they're ready, then sticking with them no matter what?
As much as Sefo frustrated me yesterday the oline is as much to blame as him
I guess I'd say that those who think Sefo should sit are kind of saying they don't trust this coaching staff to know who gives us the best chance to win. And, hey, it's kind of hard to argue with that logic.
I just have to believe that if Gehrke or Apsay were even close to Sefo, they'd be getting playing time. At least in the coach's eyes. So, my assumption is that they are not close.
The only thing that makes any sense to me is they were desperate to keep the game score looking kinda decent.
I'm ready for Apsay to start.
If they don't want to burn Montez's shirt, at least by playing Gehrke or Apsay they bring in more zone read and rollout stuff. That's the scheme that the rest of the offense will need to be used to when Montez takes over next season.
Montez next season for reals?
Sefo's footwork is horrendous
That was likely a 15-20 yard gain if not airmailed.
I've got nothin'So why risk your starting QB in a blowout loss? Sefo took a lot of hits last night after the game was out of reach.
