Yeah, this proves, once again, that Hawkins is an idiot. And a bad coach. And an idiot. Let's write to Mike Bohn and let him know we think Hawkins is an idiot. And a bad coach.

Handler also said in the report: "Next time I just need to execute. I have a few things to clean up and then you guys will never catch me."

I feel for Clark Evans, I had a similar situation freshman year, but I left my room to head to the bathroom and spotted an RA down the hall, so my roommate and I ditched the room and still got written up because nobody answered the door when they alleged to have smelled weed coming from our room.

Matthew Phillips Lopez kept me from getting suspended... wonder if he is still at CU
 
I don't recognize the possession or use of marijuana as a crime. According to polls, about 2/3 of the Unites States agrees with me.

Melo needs to send some free headbands up to Boulder.
 
I think handler should maintain that he left the credit card to pay becuase he was running late.
 
Hope they learned their lesson.

Really minor stuff, though. I'm not going to get worked up over this. Hopefully Hawkins and the CU administration don't over-react to it.

Unfortunately, pot has a black stigma attached to it, going back to the 30's when it was popular with jazz. People will always smoke it - it's stupid to give people a police record for getting caught.

I saw a thing on History or Discovery (or similar) about the history of marijuana in the US and how it came to be criminalized. When the movement to make it illegal started, the federal government did not seem to have the constitutional authority to make a plant illegal. So what they did was criminalize it through the tax code. They required a license in order to grow or distribute the crop. Then they did not issue any licenses and were able to bust anyone who grew or distributed.

Also interesting was that the anti-marijuana effort was pretty much cover for a "get the Mexicans out of Texas" movement.
 
If I was the coach Evans would be off the team. Zero tolerance with drug use. I'd probably wait for Handler to go to court. Then toss him off the team.

Exactly.. And some of you guys here actually have hope this dope head is going to be our starting QB of the future? :rofl:



There is no toughness in this program and there is no discipline in this program.. Third stringers I guess can do whatever the hell they want out there.. Hope they are enjoying their free ride.. Some team Talkins has built here..
