Rushing the field the last 10 years after a marginally decent win was accepted in Boulder because, well, it was CU and we should be thrilled with any win we can come by. We are now the 15th ranked team in the country playing a 3-5 UCLA squad. A win should be expected and looked at as business as usual.

Totally agreed.

But, given that a) there will most likely be students there who haven't been there all year, b) students get off on rushing the field these days like no other time in football history, and c) drunkenness will be the norm in the student section, should we prevail tonight, I would expect it.

Students want to come to the game, let 'em celebrate however they wish. They don't need a bunch of old folks with a gameday version of "stay off my lawn."
Go Buffs! Fight, Fight, WIN!
 
I love it that we are discussing the appropriate way to celebrate another win before the game has started.
Young people: listen to me. The lawn is yours. Be respectful, the groundskeepers like it to stay pretty.

Is there a fine in 2016 for rushing the football field, or is that just a storming the BB court issue? (Thanks, Sean Miller)

I have a vague recollection of some new rule that involves a $50,000 fine levied by the league. Is that true?
