he might have more starts at center than all other true frosh combined.Damn. Seaton was expected, Cleveland is a pleasant surprise.
Walk-on Freshman All-American. Got to love it!Damn. Seaton was expected, Cleveland is a pleasant surprise.
Seaton is going to be a guy the pros love.
Prime treats his pros like pros. He would allow Seaton to fire Shurmur, personally, before allowing anyone to put him in a doghouse. He is not wrong. Hopefully not in the doghouse after this, coaches can be egotistical
100%. Seat owns his own house. No dog house.Prime treats his pros like pros. He would allow Seaton to fire Shurmur, personally, before allowing anyone to put him in a doghouse.
If the offense is lackluster these next three weeks, even if they win, I wonder if he Sean Lewises Pat Shurmur with Byron Leftwich.100%. Seat owns his own house. No dog house.
Shurmur better figure out the game plan ASAP.
We have no “plan” on offense.100%. Seat owns his own house. No dog house.

That’s the kind way to put it. Let’s hope it’s random plays he’s calling. That’s better than the alternative. We have no “plan” on offense.
Nothing is used to set up anything else.
Like…GT is very clearly a power spread option team
They are going to run, and unless they are behind the sticks, when they pass, they’re going to make it look like a run.
Shamir just calls random plays
No need to wonder. It’ll happen. If the offense is lackluster these next three weeks, even if they win, I wonder if he Sean Lewises Pat Shurmur with Byron Leftwich.
I’d be concerned that would make the position completely blacklisted if he does it a second time.If the offense is lackluster these next three weeks, even if they win, I wonder if he Sean Lewises Pat Shurmur with Byron Leftwich.
Usually it would. I think the Prime factor would make it less so. If Leftwiich or whoever gets the job has success then there will be no shortage of people who want to follow.I’d be concerned that would make the position completely blacklisted if he does it a second time.
I’m pretty sure it kind of already is blacklisted after the one. They did an entire search and then ended up sticking with Shurmer. To me that seems like they didn’t have a ton of interest from good candidatesUsually it would. I think the Prime factor would make it less so. But the position is a year to year position at every program anyways. Produce and get elevated or you get fired.I’d be concerned that would make the position completely blacklisted if he does it a second time.
Prime also isn't looking for career college coaches. He favors coaches with pro backgrounds. Pro coaches (and players) are used to the idea of no guarantees, no security, past the current week. Players get cut, players get traded, players get benched, coaches get fired. It's not even what have you done lately, it's what can you do for me right now.But the position is a year to year position at every program anyways. Produce and get elevated or you get fired.
I do think Prime has respect for Pat and his long tenure and isn’t likely to fire him. I do think he could ask that he hands over playcalling duties at some point if things don’t improve.Prime also isn't looking for career college coaches. He favors coaches with pro backgrounds. Prime has also shown that he is willing to give opportunities to coach to guys who have never coached that position with the expectation that they will perform.
Agree completely. I think Prime appreciates Pat's knowledge of the game. Some coaches are was better during the week than they are on game day. Shurmur has always been respected preparing his team but boring and predictable calling games. Prime has to know somebody who can make better use of the available talent.I do think Prime has respect for Pat and his long tenure and isn’t likely to fire him. I don’t think the year to year thing holds people back. But I think candidates would be hesitant about a position where the coach has shown a propensity to strip you of duties mid season. But the position is a year to year position at every program anyways. Produce and get elevated or you get fired.
Is he really only a sophomore? He has so much football wisdom already and is very level-headed. CP's hit grand slams on the recruiting trail with Travis Hunter and Seaton.
