Julmisse arrested again

I was pulling for him...but it appears he just put himself in a worse situation overall.
He won't be around anymore, probably.

Sucks for the kid but once you are in trouble, best to keep yourself out of further trouble until it's resolved.

It's probably best for Ant as well as CU for him to get a fresh start somewhere.

fwiw, I still believe he's a good kid who will get it figured out.

Colorado really takes their crime seriously if the DA doesn't drop the trespassing and plead down the robbery to some basic theft

I'm sorry, "good kids" don't get arrested 2x in a summer for DV, robbery, and such. JMHO. Can he turn it around, sure, but "good kid" he's not.

I have a feeling we're always going to be seeing Buffs competing for the Fulmer Cup MVP award. The Boulder DA loves to pile on any charge they could possibly think of.

Try any DA in Colorado dealing with someone under 23 years old.

The trespassing statute in Colorado explicitly includes entering a motor vehicle to commit a crime. He could/should get it pleaded down, but I do not think it is an irrelevant charge here.

it's funny how things are so different state to state. My Uncle had his car stolen, cops catch the guy in it, arrest him, throw him in jail, release him one day later, detective tells my Uncle, hey you got your car back no harm no foul so DA won't be pressing charges. I guarantee if this same thing happened in CA, Julmisse wouldn't get hit with the robbery charge and especially not the trespassing charge, although I'm surprised they didn't throw leaving the scene of an accident at him.

If there is one thing we can learn from Nate Robbins, you are pretty much one solid player away from a Fulmer Cup victory.
Can't win the Fulmer Cup off one player though, we'd need to have someone else commit a crime and I'd prefer if we didn't.

Nope. Nate had 45 pnts last year, and the next closest team had 30.
Nate wasn't the only one who committed a crime. We ended up with 68 points thanks to Falo/Gordon.

From the rules: "A team cannot win Cup based on the actions of a single player or coach, at least two players or coaches committing crimes are required. However, exceptional solo achievements do qualify for our individual achievement awards"

Regardless of how many chances they get in life, there always seems to be people that just don't get it? He has to seek out the help himself.

Point well taken.

For example, Colorado is considered exceptionally tough for DUI offenders.

Fair point, but let's face it, most college age boys aren't mature enough to be good citizens yet, needless to say the types that are football players. I don't think him being a good kid or not should factor into him staying on the team or not. It should matter though if he's a criminal that can't learn though.

I personally root for all the Southern kids to succeed at CU. It seems that a lot of kids from the South (athlete or not) get homesick in Boulder, and I'd like for more success stories. If he didn't do anything too terrible, I hope Julmisse learns, earns his way back on the team, and thrives. Selfishly, I wouldn't mind any ties he has to FL, or positive pub he hopefully ultimately gets and reaches FL. Argue if it fits our recruiting footprint or not, but there definitely is a lot of talent down there.
