As skeptical (even angry) as I have become when hearing coachspeak, I actually thought "dream job" resonated as authentic and sincere from Dorrell.
Built it before this job was even on his radar*The fact they just built a house in Boulder adds some substance to that statement

Yeah I was always confused by the people who said Tucker was really well spoken and crushed press conferences. Thought he was fine but mostly stumbled through them as a speaker, like he was constantly searching for the right thing to say.I don't miss hearing Tucker say "umm" every other word, especially listening to this. I'll say that much.
I like him, he's genuine. I think if he can put together a staff, he could be really good. The short off season will possible be tough to get the guys he wants, but I'm liking what I hear so far.
Saban told him it would be opening.Built it before this job was even on his radar*
He acknowledged the importance and knew our class rank.Thank the old coaches for recruiting the incoming class isn't discussing his vision for recruiting
He acknowledged the importance and knew our class rank.
It is not his top priority, though, like it was with Tucker and how it was for Hawkins in the beginning. How it was for Embree.
I do believe he cares about it a lot more than MacIntyre based on talking about needing the players and knowing how important a #36 class was this year.
I think it can be a fine line for a new coach. His first priority has got to be winning the current locker room. They want to hear about development & family, being able to win now -- not that recruiting has to get better so we can get better players in here.
I'm in "wait and see" based on his staff hires. We'll know his focus by the profile of his hires. Will it be an NFL staff or will he go for guys who have had recruiting success, particularly in the Pac-12 & CU footprints.Fair enough, I guess
one of my coworkers bothered me and I had to take my headphones off. What did he say?Ah damn, that is how RG foiled the flight tracker stalking.
Duff, you had me prepared to be watching for that, and now Howell asks, so lets seeThe lack of recruiting dialogue is fairly ominous.
I liked his answer. I mean he does know what worked for them here so that's a plus at least. We're going to recruit the areas that have naturally been very productive for us.
