Never thought id see the day where we needed any keys to beating Wyoming for God's sake but here is my simple 2 cents. Im not gonna talk about X's and O's so much, hard to when we still dont have an identity. I think the biggest factor in this game for CU is a fast start. We have proved so far that we cant play from behind and our coach's lack the backbone to stick with the running game and abandon it far too quickly, at least imho. When I say fast start, I mean 10-0 or 14-0 in the first quarter or early second. I know that will help defensively, they can relax a bit and not be playing on eggshells. However, if I see the tackling or lack there of we had the past 2 games, the start wont matter. Coaches need to pull their head out quickly, most notably, Hawk, Collins, and Bandison. We all know the issues with the defense so Ill leave those right there. I hope after they pull their heads out, they can make the adjustments we need to make this week and there will be some as in every game. The sad thing is, alot of them were pretty simple adjustments that a high school coach could make. Example, when u have a speed receiver running vertical routes, u dont cover them with a lb unless he can flat run with that guy. We did that at least 3 times against Toledo and they either scored or got about 40 yards. I heard Hawk say something about film and what we have to do is right there just clean some things up. Well, Wyoming's coaches also watched that film by now. If they know that they can match up a speed guy on your lb and u wont adjust through the course of the game, they will exploit that all day long. Guess all we internet scum can do is watch and pray, in this case.
