KRIEGER: Hawkins' task tougher than he thought

Not that it makes 5-7 any easier to deal with, but this is actually a sign of progress: Four years after CU football self-immolated, the complaints have returned to the mundane.
I like Dave's take here. As a fan, I'd sort of lost perspective on just how deep a hole the Buffs were trying to dig themselves out of. While the jury is still out, we've taken a lot of steps in the right direction in the past three seasons.
