Linda Lappe's contract goes thru the 2019 season and assume she will get paid even if she is fired. The team is not going to get any better unless there is a different coach. I think Rick George has to make a change even if costs some money.

Chump change, maybe. They are losing some bucks right now by keeping her. He needs to clean up Bohn's mistake and let her go.
From what I can find, Lappe is under contract until 2019 at a salary of $170,805. No extensions for her the last two seasons while Boyle has received extensions.
IMO, she has destroyed the program. If she stays, players like Kennedy Leonard and Alexis Robinson will transfer.
This team is going to end up as the team with the most losses in CU WBB history at 23. She has to go.
I'm not sure that Leonard and Robinson would transfer. They both seem to really love Boulder, and that class seems to have really developed a bond. That said, it would be sad to see Leonard's talents wasted toiling for a cellar dweller for four years. I think she is the most exciting player that the team has had in many years.
I would find it hard to keep Lappe. However, who do you want to replace her? I have no clue about the women's game and coaches. Are there certain coaches that you like and think may be interested?

Leonard is by far the most exciting player the team has had for a long time--probably since Brittany Spears. Her talent was wasted under KMM who only told her to shoot. Cost her when it came to playing professionally. Chucky Jeffery was an exciting player also, but also recruited by KMM.
I believe you have it
You have it backwards concerning the Freshman. All of them. Plus the transfer.
She will not be fired. Just like Tad was not fired after the CBI and the portland state fiasco and in fact the whole last year. She gets another year. At least.
KMM and her husband were a disaster.
She is coming off a losing season, though. And let's not compare her achievements at CU to Tad's. He's in a completely different league.
Kennedy has been nominated for conference freshman of the week multiple times by CU. But unfortunately she has been up against two other VERY good freshmen most of the time... Oregon PG Maite Cazorla, who is second in the conference in assists per game and Cal F Kristin Anigwe who is in the top few in points per game in the conference........
Kennedy Leonard has not been recognized for her talents until last week by the Pac 12.........
Agree with Nik. Tad has not gone downhill every season since he has been at CU. Lappe has.
Just a completely unsubstantiated hunch, but I don't think RG replaces Lappe this year. I feel like he is more focused on the football program. Unless there's some kind of behavior problem, I don't think women's basketball is on his radar.
.
Her best record came when most of the key players were recruited by the previous staff, in '12-'13. Since all recruits have been hers things have gone south.
Hasn't he made a statement about being competitive or elite in all sports? And I don't get how at this time of the year the football program could be occupying a lot of his attention. He isn't making a coaching change in football, so what else is there to occupy his attention there?
If he isn't at least looking very hard at Lappe than he really doesn't care about the program.
I'm starting to agree with your call for a change, but for discussion, this team is young overall and its best talent is in the freshman class. They'll probably be better next year regardless of who coaches them. Can Lappe develop those players and improve recruiting in the next class? I would also guess that Ceal still has Lappe's back and would argue to give her another year. This is my point. Until the current freshmen class, I don't think she has recruited well.
