Let's go Washington!

Washington's victory today enhances the chances of the Buffs going to the Rose Bowl or the Playoffs. [***Disclaimer---I am not looking past the tough game against the Utes tomorrow***] If the Buffs get into the CCG, and Washington wins, I believe that the Huskies would make the playoffs, and CU goes to the Rose (sorry, USC). If CU happened to win the CCG, Buffs would definitely at least be Pasadena-bound, with a slight chance at the Final Four, depending upon what happens tomorrow in other games. Amirite?

Yes. If CU wins the CCG, they punch a ticket to Pasadena automatically, the playoffs could still come calling.

If we lose the CCG, things get a little less clear because USC is playing great football right now and is the hometown team.

Hell, if things go crazy with teams losing we could see a Pac-12 team in the playoff with someone in the Rose and another getting picked for the Cotton.

The thing is, the Rose Bowl chances are better CU loses in the CCG to a much higher-ranked team (Washington). I get the home team thing, though. The Rose Bowl would be an instant sellout with a Washington-USC matchup, and the excuse could be that USC defeated CU.

The only way Washington plays in the Rose Bowl is if we beat them and then get selected for the CFP. If UW wins the CCG it will either be CU or USC vs the Big10 representative unless the CFP committee does something strange.

Glad Washington won. Now we have to take care of business tonight, then beat one of the best teams next week. Win against the best and I think we could jump a team or two and get in.
