Way to go Buffs, put up a good fight and beat the teams you are supposed to beat.
A win they had to have and that wasnt an easy game to get up for. Higgins had no legs left and that is understandable, 3 games in 3 days and he carried us the first two.
we seem to have a flaw in our defense for opposing guards to exploit. Last night Wise beat us for 30 points and today Bennett dropped 22 on us. It seems when we go into our 1-3-1 defense, they just put 4 guys on the perimeter and we only have 3 guys to guard them so they get some decent looks.

Very true. I think the defense will improve as the season goes. I dont think everybody knows where they are supposed to be on D yet. Alot of blind scrambling around and giving up wide open looks. Defense and rebounding is what needs to be worked on most and ball security too.
Looked like a lot of tired legs out there. Guys were hesitating and when they cut the cuts were not as sharp as prior two games. A lot of shots hitting the front of the rim also shows tired legs. The big thing is that they did a lot of reaching on D instead of moving their feet and getting good position, same on the boards.
Not very good competion but those guys were sleeping in their own beds didn't have a flight over followed by two games that were close until the end.
Buffs look much better than last year. Still going to struggle against talented teams and still make some bad decisions or have stretchs that they look lost but they will be much more competitive this year.
