First of all you sonofabitch it was RalphMalph! Second, well, there is no second. It's not my fault great minds think alike.

i wouldn't read too much into Mac preaching patience. he did the same thing when gb was hired and when hawkins was hired.

he's trying to create a little cover for the staff so they have time to install their regime.

while i don't think our Buffs are likely to have a great season, i wouldn't necessarily conclude from Mac's statements that a bad season is inevitable.

if we get a bit lucky and can avoid injuries to key starters, there will be a chance. we've got a lot of gaps, but with good coaching, and a focus on fundamentals and execution, i think the team has enough bodies to compete with most of the teams on the schedule. i hope so, at least.

I think this is spot on. We won't win a Nat'l Championship this year but I suspect we will be competitive in most, if not all, of our games. I think we can realistically expect 6-7 wins.

It's going to be an interesting season. I'm preparing for the worst, but hopefully we'll be competitive in most of our games like you said.
