MacIntyre's embarrassing himself

What are peoples thought on MM if we play hard, beat Cal then make it to a bowl game and win? Would a 7-6 record with a bowl win change his public perception?

Before this week, if Mac would have beaten Cal and then won a bowl game I wouldn't have hated it if he stuck around, but this press conference killed it. He's burning bridges now. I don't care how good the team looks next week, he needs to go

I would have. The OSU debacle did it for me. There was no recovering. The ONLY thing that would have saved that would have been to win out and show that that was a once in a lifetime fluke. But he totally lost the team that day. They don't give a **** anymore.

No. This is his team, so was last year's. Soft, no OL and little heart. What in the world makes anybody think ti will change under MikMac? He does some things very well. The roster has some balance, aside from OL, there is talent sufficient to compete. Clean program, largely playing solid, sound fundamental FB. That is an improvement, but he has taken CU as far as he ever will. Next.

We need to stop acting like getting to 6-6 is some astronomical feat. Winning 2/3 of your OOC and 4/9 in Pac-12 play shouldn't be this hard, yet MM has failed to get there in 5/6 years. He is 0-9 in games to get him to that magic mark in the past two seasons.

CU can do much better. The Cal game is irrelevant to whether or not Mac keeps his job.

I think MM was right to hang up on him. It annoys me when journalists act obnoxious and then get all indignant that they couldn’t compel someone to jump through their sensationalistic hoops, and then self-righteously hide behind their “journalistic imperative” to ask “tough questions”. He asked a question MM didn’t want to answer, MM professionally declined to talk about it (as he should have), and the dude kept pressing. Life’s too short, hang up on the dude and move on.

I disagree mostly with his rationale (that because he couldn’t “handle” and interview with him, he didn’t have what it takes to be a big tent coach), but I tend to agree with his conclusion - that he probably doesn’t have what it takes to be a HC at a big tent program, i.e. top tier.

haha so he hangs up when asked about interest in other jobs, but yesterday talks about the 3 better gigs he could have had. What a prick- and then add this to it "Amazingly once MacIntyre hung up on me the SID at Colorado, a goateed bald man named David Plati, lost his mind and sent an expletive-laced email and voicemail to our scheduler" Can Plati leave with MM?

What have you seen out of this team that makes you expect something other than another double digit loss in Berkeley?

Good luck with the SEC media MM, if he ever makes it there

tbh when I first read this, the first time I read FB I thought you meant a strong fullback was needed and now all I want is an Anthony Sherman on the squad

If I remember the Travis interview correctly, Plati asked him before the interview to not ask questions about his job situation. But he did it anyway hence the angry response.
