Matches thread- Volleyball ends regular season at UCLA (Wed., 2:00 MT) and Utah (Fri., noon)

Tough way for the 1st set to end, as Buffs initially tie it up at 24, but a successful coach's challenge gives the utes set 1 25-23.

The Buff block has been great early (5-0 edge), but a few too many unforced hitting errors, and a few points compromised by serve receive issues equals a TIGHT 1st set loss.

Buffs call a timeout after giving up a 4 or so point run in the 2nd. Still very tight at 11-12 utes.
 
Buffs with a rough start behind some tough serving gave the utes a 4-0 lead, then the Buffs come storming back- ute timeout as the Buffs take a 6-5 lead in set 3.
 
Buffs got up to a 4 point lead, but the utes go on a 3 point run. Timeout with the Buffs up 16-15.
 
Ugh- great 3rd set with both teams having multiple set points (although Buffs only had, I believe, 2) finally ends with a ute 31-29 win. They're up 2-1.

 
Buffs challenging a touch call on a block. Still way down 13-23 (assuming the challenge isn't successful).
 
utah wins the match- 16-25 in the 4th.

I'd say nice performance overall for the Buffs (obviously mainly in the 1st 3 sets).

Hopefully the Buffs have shown enough for a tournament bid. We'll see Sunday evening,
